The Indian Institute of metals (IIM) Baroda chapter and Yuva Kaushal Bharat Foundation(YKBF) has jointly organizes national Webinar : 'Corporate Social Meet : Challenges & Strategies for Business Growth in the phase of Covid 19' in association with Vadodara Chambers of Commerce &Industry(VCCI), Baroda productivity council (BPC) and Madad Foundation , India on 3rd June, 2020 Dr Sunil Kahar, webinar Director and Chairman of IIM Baroda Chapter & YKBF said , The micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) sector in India is the second-largest in the world. Hit by the Covid-19 slump followed by social distancing and a nationwide lockdown, businesses are experiencing major impacts. It has become challenging for most businesses to keep their financial wheels turning during the lockdown period due to less revenue churn and the general uncertainty in the global financial environment. This National Webinar aims to help businesses by brining on floor the best business operations and growth strategies that can help them start running the business efficiently again. In this event more than 450 industrialist, academician, entrepreneur, proprietors, businessman ,Engineers, etc from 51 cities of India has been registered and attended.

In this event Shri. Faggan Singh Kulaste, Honorable Minister of State, Ministry of Steel, Govt. of India has addressed the gathering as Chief Guest on MSME & Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan. He told that Our Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modiji on 12th May 2020 has announced an economic package of Rs. 20 lakh crores package under ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’. PM has asked Indians to be more vocal for the local which means using our made in India products to promote our Indian industry.

He said, the Covid-19 outbreak has come as a big shock to the world, unprecedented in the scale of damage it has caused, and continues to cause. There is a need to adapt to the change and to handle the change in a manner that is safe for employees and other stakeholders. The well-being and safety of employees is the biggest challenge to the current crisis, and businesses will have to strictly adhere to measures such as staggered attendance and different shift timings to ensure social distance and other safety and hygiene protocols in workplaces. The financial losses of the last two months and the continuing environment of economic uncertainty also made it critical to businesses to leverage opportunities to reduce costs and optimize resources. Businesses will also have to learn to make optimum use of technology in their operations.
